Gardening isn’t easy when you do not have a natural green thumb. I try but the results are hit and miss. It’s halfway through May and I am just now getting plants in the ground. My raised beds aren’t 100% as cleared out as I would like from the persistent weed/grass/spawn of Hades that encroaches every year.

I wrap the bases of the tomato cages with plastic to give the stems a fighting chance to grow while fighting the wind we get on the hilltop.

Oh well. Better late than never.

As we see the price of gas rise, the trickle down effect is going to hit our wallets in multiple ways including our food. It will cost farmers more to fertilize, more to harvest, more to get the harvest to the consumer. That cost will be passed down many times over to our wallets, to our homes. Yeah, I’m a bit nervous about what is to come in terms of the cost of things as trickle down impact happens.
